Natasha Isenhour
Strong, moody, sensitive and light-filled, are adjectives often used to describe the work of Natasha Isenhour. Painting in both oil and pastel, she is known for her striking, atmospheric landscapes as well as still life and animals. Natasha paints full-time on location and in her studio in New Mexico. Her style explores local color while incorporating a slight contemporary edge, allowing her mark-making to control the impressions of mass and delicacy. Isenhour is a Distinguished Pastelist and past President of the Pastel Society of New Mexico, Singnature member and current Vice President of Plein Air Painters of New Mexico and is an Associate Member with Distinction of American Women Artists. She served as awards juror for the Richeson 75, Birds and Wildlife in Art, as well as juror for the Pastel Society of the West Coast's, 2018 Pastels USA 32nd Annual International Open Exhibition. Isenhour has been featured in numerous solo gallery and museum shows as well as group shows and as a featured guest artist over the years and is collected throughout the US and abroad. Most recently, Natasha’s landscape painting earned her “Best Pastel” in the April/May 2019 Plein Air Salon, sponsored by Plein Air Magazine. Another landscape has just earned her a coveted spot in the Pastel Society’s juried show “Enduring Brilliance” to be held at the National Arts Gallery in New York City, Fall 2019. She also participates in juried plein air events across the country throughout the year and has garnered extensive recognition and numerous awards along the way.
